Biography

When Gwendolyn Dix was born on July 15, 1929, in Turton, South Dakota, her father, Joseph, was 33, and her mother, Ethel, was 28. Gwendolyn married Robert Smith in Turton on December 28, 1947. They raised six children and farmed together in the Conde area until Robert passed away in 1976. Gwendolyn later married Carroll Bollerslev in Doland, SD. After his passing, she eventually married William Schunk in Lake Andes, SD. She died on December 11, 2017, in Conde, South Dakota, at the age of 88 and was buried in Sunset Gardens, Aberdeen, Brown, South Dakota USA. Find A Grave: Memorial #185188349
