John and Jane Dugan (sometimes spelt Duggan or Dugain) lived on their farm at Minore Falls for many years and were pioneers in the area.
They travelled on the 'Argyle' to Australia arriving on 1 April 1839.[1][2] John was listed as a farm labourer and was able to read a write a little and as a Protestant.
John grew up in Enniskillen, Fermanagh, Ireland. His parents are Thomas Dugan (weaver) of Mayo and Barbara Doble. They had at least 4 children.
John Dugan died at Dubbo, NSW, in 1882[3] and was buried in the Old Dubbo Cemetery.[4][5][6][7]
