Biography
Thomas Elgood was born to John and Mary Elgood in 1702/1703 and was baptised June 24, 1703 in RIdlington St Peter, Norfolk, England.
Thomas Elgood married Mary Revel (Revell, Reveal) on or about 1729/30, most likely in Cransford (her home parish) which is in the hundred of Plomesgate, in the county of Suffolk, England.
The village is small, and the population wholly agricultural. The church of the time was St Peter's Anglican church, founded in 1653.
A son, Thomas, was born to Thomas and Mary in 1732 in Cransford. There could be more children, but at this point only Thomas has been found.
Thomas Sr. died and was most likely buried in the in cemetery at St Peter's Church.
