Richard Riland Faucett was born in Dec 1884 in Michigan to William Faucett and Mary Vigue. His family was living in Marinette County, Wisconsin at the time of his birth.

Richard Riland's brother John Edward was born on January 26, 1887, in Marinette, Wisconsin when Richard Riland was 2 years old.

Richard Riland's sister Gertrude C. was born in August 1891 in Wisconsin when Richard Riland was 6 years old.

Richard Riland's brother Frank Fredrick was born on January 6, 1894, in Wisconsin when Richard Riland was 9 years old.

Richard Riland's sister Hazel Martha was born in March 1896 in Wisconsin when Richard Riland was 11 years old.

Richard Riland's sister Annie Sophia was born in March 1898 in Wisconsin when Richard Riland was 13 years old.

In 1900 his family was living in Porterfield town, Marinette County, Wisconsin on a farm.

Richard Riland's sister Jessie L. was born on April 5, 1901, in Wisconsin when Richard Riland was 16 years old.

Richard Riland's brother Harry George was born on April 9, 1904, in Wisconsin when Richard Riland was 19 years old.

His son Roland was born in 1907 in Washington.

His daughter Doris N. was born about 1907, in Washington.

Richard Riland's brother Robert K. was born on July 31, 1908, in Washington when Richard Riland was 23 years old.

His daughter Myrtle Inez was born about 1910, in Ontario.

In 1910, Richard and his family were living in Camden, Spokane County, Washington where he was a Retail Merchant in his own store.

On 29 Sep 1910, Richard took his family to Nelson, British Columbia through the port of Waneta. His Border Crossing records state that he is going on homestead. He is a farmer with $140 in his pocket. The entry just above his name is John Vigue, Woodsman.

His daughter Lois D. was born about 1914, in Washington.

Richard Riland's sister Gertrude C. died on August 17, 1919, in Camden, Washington when Richard Riland was 34 years old.


In 1920 the Census reports Richard as Widowed. His wife Alvina has no death record for this time. She doesn't die until 1957. He was renting a home on 2801 Rub Street in Spokane with his daughters Viola, Doris and Lois and working as a fruit farmer.

In 1921 He and all of his family are reuinted at Halls Landing, Kootenay West, British Columbia. Richard is working as a farmer and reports his Racial or Tribal Origin as Irish.

Richard Riland's sister Hazel Martha died on February 26, 1926, in Camden, Washington when Richard Riland was 41 years old.

In June of 1928 Richard and his family cross the border into Canada at Waneta to go to Arrowhead, British Columbia. Everyone is reported as Irish, except Alvina, who is listed as Dutch.

On 2 Aug 1939 Richard comes back to Metaline Falls, Washington with Alvina. He is described as 5'7 Brown hair and Blue eyes. His point of contact in the US is his brother Frank in Camden Washington. He is Irish. His departure contact is a friend, Dan Crawford.

Richard Riland's mother Mary Vigue passed away on August 1, 1939, in Camden, Washington, at the age of 76.

Richard Riland's father William Henry Faucett passed away on November 19, 1939, in Spokane, Washington, at the age of 82.

His wife Alvina Hulda passed away on October 25, 1957, in Revelstoke, British Columbia, at the age of 68.

In 1957 and 1962 he is listed on the Voting lists in Okanagan; Revelstoke, British Columbia, Canada

On 2 Oct 1962 Richard died in Middle Point, British Columbia at the age of 77. I have not found a source for his grave marker or burial records.
