Timeline

1869 Mary "Molly" Fiscus is born to John A. V. and Matilda (Fiscus) Fiscus on 8 March. She has an older brother, Frank. Her parents lost two young children before she was born: Sarah and Delana Alexander.[3]

1870 Mary (age 1) is living with her parents and her brother Frank (age 6). Also in the household is a John H. Arney, age 18.[4]

1872 Mary's sister Martha is born on 24 April.[3]

1873 Martha passes away less than a year after she is born on 14 March, only 6 days after Mary's 4th birthday.[3]

1874 Mary's brother John is born on 18 October.[3]

1876 Mary's brother Edmond is born on 16 November.[3]

1879 Mary's brother Bert is born on 23 January.[3]

1880 Mary (age 11) continues to live with her parents in Jefferson Township and her four brothers: Frank (age 16), John Q (age 5), Edmund (age 3) and Bert ("Birt" on the census listing) (age 1).[5]

1881 Mary, age 12, finally gets a sister, Della, born on 26 November.[3]

1893 Mary, age 23, marries William H. Miller on 18 February.[1][2]

1896 When Mary is 26 years old, she and William have a son: Alfred Raymond, born on 17 February.

1899 Their son Otto Clayton is born on 30 March when Mary is 30.

1900 One year and seven months after Otto, Goldie is born on 10 October when Mary is 31 years old.

1916 Alfred marries Edna Hochstetler on 29 July.

1919 Otto marries Carman Cleo Miller on 29 January.

1923 Goldie marries her first husband, John J. Silvers, on 17 August.

1935 When Mary is 66 years old, her husband passes away on 24 September.[3][6] They were married for 43 years.

1949 Mary passes away at age 80 on 6 May. She is buried in Fiscus Cemeter, Coal City, Indiana next to her husband.[3][7]
