Rebekah Taylor is NOT the spouse of this John D. Ford. He married Lucy Kelly, 22 May 1828 Garrard, KY, and had 8 known children with her. He died in Howard, MO and is buried on the Ford Family Cemetery on the farm he owned. I have photos of the tombstones.

There is a Daniel Ford who married a Rebekah Taylor on 15 Nov 1827, Madison, KY, but there are two different individuals. They are brothers. John D. Ford (my ggf) and his only wife Lucy Kelly were buried on their farm in their private John Ford Cemetery in Howard County, Missouri. I have been to the farm. John Daniel Ford is not to be confused with his brother whose name was Daniel Ford. The names John and Daniel are throughout the Ford line. Most of the documentation reflects his name as John, except the death certificate and the son named after him.

In the Huguenot Society of the Founders of Manakin in the Colony of Virginia, Publication #7, is documentation that references both John and Daniel, who they married and where they are buried. Tirey Ford goes into great detail on our line and I quote the section on page 210:

"Daniel Ford married Rebekah Taylor in Kentucky. He emigrated to Missouri in 1829 where he died and was buried at the Ford graveyard north of Paris. He had five children, John W., Jacob J., Perry, Martha and Mary. John, Perry and Mary died young. Jacob married a Miss Combs and settled near Sedalia where he died.

John Ford, Sr., married Lucy Kelly in Kentucky; emigrated to Missouri in 1829 settling in Howard County. He died before the War of the Rebellion. His children were William, George, John, Lucinda, Lucretia, Susan and Mary. His sons were all in the Confederate Army; George died there. William lives in Shelbina Missouri. John, Susan and Lucinda in Howard County, and Mary in Chariton County."
