Biography

Lula Mae Franklin, born in Alabama[1] married Tillery R. George on 31 Mar 1926 in Covington County, Alabama.[2][3]

The daughter of Margarete F. Franklin and an unknown father, Lula Mae was raised in part by her Aunt Mattie.[4][5]

Per Evelyn Blow, Doll & Till lived near Andalusia for several years, then moved to Phenix City, AL. She was known as Doll because as a baby she "looked like a little doll!"
