Anna was born in 1868. She was the daughter of Thomas Hellings and Elizabeth Hobensack.
She married James Newton Thomas (1867–1944). They had the following children:
James Allison Thomas 1888–1965
Walter Thomas 1891–1975
Anna Thomas 1896–1948
Elizabeth Thomas 1900–1974
Raymond N Thomas 1903–1983
Willet Hicks Thomas 1908–1974
She passed away in 1937. Buried at East Cedar Hill Cemetery, Philadelphia, Philadelphia County, Pennsylvania.
