Biography
"Descendants of John Higginson"-[1]
He was born 22 May 1762 Dublin, Ireland; christened 1762 Christ Church Lisburn, Antrim Ireland.
He departed Ireland from Cork, May 25, 1784 on the ship "Washington", landing in Alexandria, Virginia.
He married Mary Stockwell, a native of Maryland about 1788, although no marriage record has been found. They were in Bourbon Co KY by 1792, where his name appears on tax lists through 1797.
George and Mary were the parents of 14 children
