Research Notes
I adopted this person but am not sure she belongs to this family. She is listed on the 1860 Roane County, Tennessee Census in the household of James J. Hinds born about 1835 and Caroline Hinds born about 1837. Included in the household are siblings William born abt 1855 and Richard born about 1859. [1] If this census record is actually for James Cravens Hinds and Phoebe Caroline Holloway, Elizabeth is the right age to have been Louisa is on the 1870 census with Phoebe. Richard born about 1859 should be Robert Gilbert Hinds. William is the right age to be the same William on the 1870 census with Phoebe C. Hinds. More research is needed.
