Biography

Harvey James Hopkins was Born on 15 Aug 1830 to John Chester Hopkins and Harriet Newell Austin. He was a twin of Harriet Jane. His mother died in 1942. In 1850 he was listed in the US Census as living in Springfield, Oakland County, Mich. with his brother Frederick. They are both listed as Farmers. In 1980 he and Sylvia are in Sagnaw, Mich with their daughter Elsie, 19. They have one servent. In 1900 Census He is living in Saginaw Michigan with his wife Sylvia Livilla and her father Willy Taylor. He is 90 and widowed. Harvey and Sylvia report having 3 living children. Harvey does not report an Occupation. They own their own house.
