- On the 30th day of April 1812 personally came before me, David C Bryan, clerk of the Court of Common Pleas for said County. Jacob Light and Samuel Rardin who being duly sworn accord to law. The said Jacob Light deposeth and saith that he lives a near neighbor to the said Samuel and has been aquainted with him for several years and that he believes him to be more than twenty one years of age and further saith ~ the said Samuel Rardin deposeth and saith, that two or three weeks past, his father John Rardin, was examining the record of the ages of his, the said John's, children and this deponant's father, the said John, said that he, this deponant, was more than twenty one years of age and towards twenty two. A Marriage License having this day been applied for, the said Samuel to be married to Catherine Light .
