I think Aethelbert was born in about 700. There is something strange I have seen. Aethelbert II had a relation with Meli von Friesland. Melie von Friesland was the daugther of King Radbout von Friesland and Auðr The Deep-minded. But Melie von Friesland also had a relation with Amelung I (his mother). It s like an ancient soap, or something else?
Aetelbert II was the son of Billung I King of Wenden and Aeda of Frankia. Amelung I van Billung Graf von Sachsen (Billunger) died in about 760. He was not born in 760. He is the son of Aethelbert II and Meli von Friesland.
A son of Amelung I is Bennith Sachsen formerly Von Sachsen: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Von_Sachsen-104 (see my post). Bennith probably had 3 children: Amelung II:https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Unknown-410894 (see my post), Wichman II, and Herman.
I don t know who is Bilung-108 (see my post). I think he shouldn t have the name "van Hamaland", because: Wichman II: (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Sachsen-44) was married with Irminhild, Der Brunharigen Meginharden (Hamaland). Irminhild married with Wichman II. Irminhild was the daugther of Meginhard I Der Brunharigen / Meginharden) Graaf Hamaland and not Amelung Billung aka van Hamaland (Billung-108).
I learned this some time ago. The billung brothers claimed they were descended from the Amal dynasty. I think they were right. I think if you connect the right people, for axample: Amelung II with his father Bennith Sachsen formerly Von Sachsen, and so on, you will see that Thedoric the Great is a great grandfather of the Billung brothers and many descendents.
