Biography

Sarah was born in Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut on 11 April 1754 to Deacon Nathan Olmsted and Sarah Smith.

Note: Sarah's family line tended to use the family name with the "a", i.e., Olmstead. Records for her would exist with both spellings.

She married Benjamin Sherwood and they had fourteen children.

Sarah died on 25 February 1848 in Ridgefield and is buried there in the Titicus Cemetery. ^[1]
