U.S. Veteran Leotis Padgett, 88 of Mendenhall, MS, passed from this life Sunday, July 31, 2011 at Magee General Hospital in Magee Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM, on Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Mendenhall with burial in Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery
Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00PM Tuesday Aug. 2, 2011 at Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mendenhall visitation will also be Wednesday 9:00AM till service time at Poplar Springs Baptist Church in Mendenhall. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home of Mendenhall MS is in charge of arrangements. 601-847-4401
Mr. Padgett served his country during World War II in the United States Army. Mr. Padgett was a survivor of the Normandy Invasion. Mr. Padgett worked many years as store Manager for Jim Wilson Farm Supply in Mendenhall.
Preceded in death by: Parents, John and Mary Sullivan Padgett, sisters, Letha Layton, and Louise Brown.
Survivors Include: Wife, Doris Inez Price Padgett, Mendenhall, children, Linda P and husband Jack Winstead Mendenhall, Kathy P And husband Glen Workman, Brookhaven, Stan and wife Deborah Padgett Mendenhall sisters, Rosie Riels, Faye Cook, Ruby Christmon, grandchildren, Angie W Prather, Shey Winstead, Chad Workman, Sean Workman, Ryan Workman, Chance Padgett, great-grandchildren, Logan, Bayleigh, and Gabi Prather, Lauren and Hailey Workman, and Reagan Ishee .
