D/o Robert Pottenger and Elizabeth Willett. Married John Phillips,Sr. (1753-1834) in about 1778 in MD. They had ten children from 1780 to 1800; Ben, James, Elizabeth (Betsy),Sarah "Sally" (m A.Byrns), John Jr., Jemima (m. Ben Phillips, Jr.-cousin*), Cassandra (m ? Doom), Samuel, Isaac and Lewis.

• Benjamin PHILLIPS Jr., b. 13 May 1789, Washington Co, KY; d. 15 May 1864, Grayson Co, KY & bur. in Old Burned Church Cem, Grayson Co, KY. Benjamin Phillips Jr. married Jemima, (d/o John PHILLIPS, Sr. & Jemima POTTENGER). Jemima was b. 24 Mar 1790, Washington Co, KY; d. 16 Sep 1869, Grayson Co, KY and buried in Old Burned (Burnt) Church Cemetery, Grayson Co, KY. Benjamin & Jemima were cousins. They were married 11 April 1822, Washington Co, KY.
