Hannah was born in 1799 in Virginia, United States. She is the daughter of Zachariah Salyer and Mary Saylor. Hannah was married to James W. Ogle. She passed away in 1899 in Indiana. She was buried at the Walnut Chapel Cemetery in Cloverdale, Putnam County, Indiana.[1]
'Hannah Salyers alias "Salliers," (27 Oct 1799 Russell Co., VA - 27 Mar 1899 Morgan Co., IN), may be the daughter of Zachariah Saliers. She became the second wife of James S. Ogle (a.k.a. James Ogles), on 28 Oct 1816 in Scott Co., Virginia.[2] They had their first child, Zachariah on August 20, 1818. Their second child was James Ogle, Junior, born June 1820, also in Scott County, Virginia. The next three children: Ira Ogle, October 7, 1923, Samuel Ogle, August 28, 1827, and Alexander Ogle, August 17, 1828, were born in Floyd County, Kentucky. The rest of the children were born in Morgan County, Kentucky: Mary Catherine Ogle October 18, 1829; Joel Ogle, February 8, 1833; Mahala Ogle, September 24, 1836; William Ogle, September 26, 1841; and Levi Ogle, June 17, 1843.
Hannah was 99 when the photo added to this profile was reportedly taken. It was provided by Lenora Duncan Rice, daughter of Polly Garrett Duncan, daughter of Elias Reason Garrett and Margaret Jane Davison Garrett Ogle, wife of James W.
