Lucy Ellen Seay was born 20 Nov 1820 in Spartanburg, Spartanburg District, South Carolina, the daughter of Mathew Seay and Sarah (Brannon) Seay. She was the sister of Mary (Seay) Rollins, Elias Seay, William Jefferson Seay, Elizabeth Seay, Maria Seay, Reuben Seay, Wilmouth Seay, Harriet Jane (Seay) Brannon, Eliza Ann Seay and James Mathew Seay.
She was the third wiife of Reuben Marion Gramling. They married about 1852 in Spartanburg County, South Carolina.
He married Lucy Ellen Seay, daughter of Mathew Seay and Sarah Brannon.[1][2]
They had at least three children;
