Research Notes

Some family members disagree over his name. His homemade headstone reads John A. Sellers for John Andrew Sellers Jr but census records either has John Sellers or John J. Sellers. His obituary and death certificate states John J. Sellers. Then he was known as "Cush".

Now his death certificate has that he was born Dec 02, 1855 and died Apr 04, 1941 but has his age as 86 years, 4 months, 1 day (which would be one year off). His headstone has birth date of Dec 02, 1854 ( which would make him 86 as his obituary states). Then his headstone has his death date as Apr. 3, 1941, but his obituary he died on Apr 04, 1941 (which would match his death certificate). Bishop-4082 18:57, 4 April 2016 (EDT)

Looking at his footstone I can see the middle initial being a J instead of the A earlier thought.
