Biography
Lewis (2013), asserts that Roger's wife was named, "Alice." But Verity (2006), states that "two 16th-century pedigrees in the British Museum (Harleian MSS 5189 and 6093) state that Roger was the son of one Ranulph de Halys by Demeta le Clauer, of Starston, Norfolk, and that his wife was Jane, daughter and heir of ---- Skogan. None of this information has been verified by 13th or 14th century sources,"
