Biography

Elizabeth Snavely was born about 1701 in Hamm, Hesse, daughter of Hans Rudolph Schnebilli.

Elizabeth married Johannes Michael "John" Rohrer in 1735 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.^[1] They had eight known children.^[1][2]

John died in 1772 in Lancaster County.^[3] He listed Elizabeth in his Will, along with children John, Isaac, and Christian.^[3]

Elizabeth died about 1788 in Lampeter, Lancaster, Pennsylvania aged ~86. On the 24th of May 1788 Jacob Hartman and Jacob Stouffer appeared in the Lancaster County courthouse and swore a statement that they were present when Elizabeth wrote her Will.^[4] They stated that it was written "in the German language" and therefore could not be read.^[4][2]
