Richard R. Stratton, son of Richard Stratton and Lydia Taylor, was born on 9 April 1842 in Blount County, Tennessee. He passed away on 15 October 1915 in Macon County, Tennessee and is buried in Happy Top Cemetery, Monroe County, Tennessee.[1]

Marriage

Richard married Susannah "Susie" Phillips on 3 June 1864 in Yellow Creek, Cherokee County, North Carolina.[2]
