He had seven siblings, namely: Zara Mildred, Hector, Leonard John, Daisy Eileen, Doris V., Lester Clifford, and Wilton Neil. He died on 31 Dec 1962 in Grafton, New South Wales, Australia. When he was 22, he married Bessie Catherine Sherwood, daughter of Edward Benjamin Sherwood and Elizabeth (Eliza) Edwards, on 26 Jan 1921 in Bellingen, New South Wales, Australia.
