Checking through the French genealogists in Gene and Geneanet his father was Geoffroi (Geoffrey) Thouars 1125 - 1173 mother Aenor Lusignan 1125 - 1157 and grandparents were Aimery Thouars 1090 - 1127 and Agnes (Ines) Aquitaine (Poitou) 1100 - 8.3.1159. This appears to cover the missing generation of his father/mother.
