Joesph Womack was born in Appalachia, in Tennessee.

Joesph Enos Womack was born on March 15, 1884 in Sparta, White, Tennessee, United States, son of James Knowles Womack (1828–1912) and Sarah Lodema Crain (1845–1920).

Joesph (21) married Nancy Denton (21) (born October 2, 1884 in Sparta; daughter of Martin Van Buren Denton (1856–1925) and Arminda Jane (Hutchings) Denton (1860–1934)) November 26, 1905 in White. [1]

Floyd Lee Womack (1906–1984)

Ruby Womack (1911–2007)

James Martin Womack (1919–1966)

In the 1900 census Joseph (age 14) was the son of James L Warnack in Civil District 5, White, Tennessee, United States.[2] James L Warnack 73 years, wife Sarah L Warnack 55 years, son Thomas J Warnack 17 years, son Joseph E Warnack 14 years, daughter Inez Warnack 12 years.

In the 1910 census Joe (age 25) was the married son of James K Womack in Civil District 3, White, Tennessee, United States.[3] James K Womack 82, son Joe Womack 25, daughter-in-law Nancy D Womack 24, grandchild Floyd L Womack 3.

Joseph was in a military record in 1917-1918 in White, Tennessee, United States.[4]

In the 1920 census Joe (age 36) was the married head of household in Civil District 3, White, Tennessee, United States.[5] Joe Womack 36, wife Nanlie Womack 35, son Floyd Womack 13, daughter Rubie Womack 8, son James M Womack 0, mother Sarah Womack 80.

In the 1930 census Joe (age 43) was the married head of household in District 04, Davidson, Tennessee, United States.[6] Joe Womack 43, wife Nancy Womack 42, son Floyd L Womack 23, daughter Ruby E Womack 19, son James M Womack 10, boarder Vitalas Hembree 41.

In the 1940 census Joseph (age 54) was the married head of household in Civil District 4, Davidson, Tennessee, United States.[7] Joseph E Womack 54, wife Nancy Womack 53, daughter Ruby Womack 29, son James Womack 21.

Joesph died on September 20, 1955 in Madison, Davidson, Tennessee, aged 71. He was buried in Jericho Cemetery, Quebeck, Tennessee.[8][9]
