Hattie (Brown) Mercer is a part of US Black heritage.

Research Notes

• Sources (death certificate, 1880 census) suggest her LNAB was Brown. Is there a source for Young as her LNAB? Correction of last name per both 1880 USCensus and death cert citations.
• Her death certificate says she was buried at "Bahama Cemetery" in St. Augustine, Maryland. St. Augustine is in Cecil County, Maryland. Find a Grave has no Bahama Cemetery in Cecil County, but there is a Bohemia Manor Cemetery that could potentially be her burial location. There is no memorial page for her there, though.
