Biography

Ann Lutz was born in the United States or the Niagara District on June 11, 1782[1].

She married Timothy Skinner about 1800. They had three children.[2]

After Timothy's death in the Battle of Chippawa on July 5, 1814, Ann married Samuel Sinclair at St James Cathedral in York on June 15, 1815. The marriage was performed by John Strachan and witnessed by Ambrose DeFarey and Sally Hoffmann. Both Ann and Samuel were listed as residents of the Township of York.[3]

Ann Lutz Skinner Sinclair died September 10, 1847. She is buried in Don Mills United Church Cemetery, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.[4]
