Alvin Owen Family

It is highly probable Charles B. and Alice Martha Owen, on the far left, are the parents of the four children in this photo. Their children are Arthur Edwin Owen (born 1892), Alvin G. Owen (born 1894), Mabel Alice Owen (born 1897) and Carl Wood Owen (born 1898). The 1910 US Census shows that Alice (Wood) Owen had four children and all are living. The photo was taken circa 1902.

Studying the 1900 and 1910 US Censuses for the remaining adults shows: 1) Mabel and Charles Edgar were married in May 1900 and had no children at the time of this photo. 2) Mary Ester Owen and her brother Orry Owen were single in 1900 and had no children at the time of the photo. 3) Walter and Nancy Owen's first child was born circa 1904, after the photo was taken. 4) Edwin T. and Olive Owen had no children at the time of the June 1900 US Census, nor the 1905 Kansas Census.
