Scanned from a family collection. Given that Denis appears to only be a Private or Lance Corporal, it would seem likely that this photo is from 1940 or 1941, before he was promoted to Corporal. It is assumed that this photo was taken in British Columbia, but it is possible that it was taken in Alberta as the Rocky Mountain Rangers also trained there. It is not known who the individual identified as Wally is.
