I think in Company C.

Yes, I do, sir.

If I don't mistake it was 1863.

DEPOSITION

Case of James H. Jackson, No. 922015

On this 22 day of June, 1905, at Boston, county of Suffolk State of Massachusetts, before me, Charles Fairbanks, a Special Examiner of the Bureau of Pensions, personally appeared James H. Jackson, who, being by me duly sworn to answer truly all interrogatories propounded to him during this special examination of aforesaid claim for pension, deposes and says:

I am 68 years of age. Post Office address #302 Columbia Street, Detroit, Michigan.

Did you serve in the Army or Navy of the United States during the Civil War?

I served in the Army - in Company "D" 54 Massachusetts Colored Infantry.

When did you enlist?

I cannot state the date. No. I cannot tell the year I enlisted. These two things I do not know
