man, the Regiment Dr. Black was connected with, was likely the Regiment claimant belonged to. Claimant now states his bunk mate was a little fellow - a drummer called Taylor - but did not know whether Taylor was his first or last name - though thought it might be Willis.

Sir:

This claim was referred for investigation to determine claimants identity in service. (See Law. Divn. Letter Report 1) and came here for another statement from claimant.

In some respects claimants memory seems pretty good, but to me it seems suspiciously very poor regarding his officers, comrades and movements of his Regiment, and very little data could be obtained from him for further examination.

Dr. Black was the only officer claimant seemed to refer to with any degree of certainty - and if this claimant was in any service as an enlisted
