This letter was written in Jan 1850 by Harrison Butler still living in Wisconsin but about to move to Iowa. He is writing to his closest brother Joseph who is still living in southern Illinois where his wife’s family lives. I (Norma Gehring) had in my in posession the original of this 1850 letter written to my great great grandfather in 2000 and made copies of it which are shown here in 8 different sections (photos)
