Inasmuch as this claim involves criminal features, I further recommend that this report receive the consideration of the Chief of Law Division. A.J. Green.
Condition at discharge, viz:
- Sallie Gibson, 331 Woodbine St., Louisville, Jefferson Co[unty], K[entuck]y.
- Jack Gibson, 331 Woodbine St., Louisville, Jefferson Co[unty], K[entuck]y.
- Sandy Gibson, 331 Woodbine St., Louisville, Jefferson Co[unty], K[entuck]y.
The statement of claimant contains sufficient data upon which to investigate extent of injury caused by blow by stick in hands of a comrade (alleged) at Ft. Arbuckle, Chickasaw Nation.
Claimant would admit nothing until the matter was put before him in such f[TBD] light that he had to crawl out of himself to tell the truth.
Very respectfully,
- A.J. Green, Special Examiner.
It would be well to bear in mind, in order that witnesses may know claimant, that he deserted and was absent several months and rejoined regiment at Jacksonville, Fl[orid]a. Was there a white man by name of Sebolt, Seabold a similar name who was its only white private of the Reg[imen]t?
