name was Stephen Sisco. He was an Indian. His wife is dead.

I never heard of Aaron Ba[TBD], or Mary Wiggins.

I do not really remember being in Readville, Massachusetts after enlistment.

I was never married except once. Then I was married to Sarah Scott, whose maiden name was Sarah Francis. Her first husband was William Scott. She now claims he was living when we were married, they were not divorced, I heard as much as 15 years ago he was wrecked on the vessel "De Molet" (?) (Da Mola), [researcher note: all parens here are from the special examiner] where I do not know. I don't know whether it is so or not.

We were married in Camp on the island at Boston Harbor, before I went to the front, by a minister named Grimes [researcher note: almost certainly Reverend Leonard Grimes] of Boston, Massachusetts, what denomination I do not know. He claimed to be a minister, Sarah brought him there.

I lived with her after the war until about eight years ago when she went to staying nights with 16 Armenian men.

We have never been divorced.

Yes, I lived with her continuously from shortly after discharge until about 8 years ago.

There was no other Charles Reed in the Regiment, and no Reed except my brother Joseph Reed, in the 54th Massachusetts Infantry.

I was never in Columbus, Ohio, and never knew Maria Reed. I was never living with any woman of the name of Maria Moton or Morton, or Molton, or Reed. I have never been out of New England since the war.
