"Old Ned Sizemore" was born about 1775 [if deposition was taken in 1906] or 1757 [if deposition was 1888]; that he visited Ashe NC from Cherokee co., NC, but settled in Allegheny [which state?] where he died in the 1850s. Woody believed that Old Ned was married to a white woman who might have been a Blevins. Woody was not aware of any siblings of Old Ned, but that Old Ned's children were:
- Owen (who followed his son Anderson Sizemore to WV many years after the civil war)
- Hiram
- George, a preacher; not known if he had children
- Enoch
- Young Ned/Ned Jr who was raised in Allegheny, went to WV before the war
- Sallie
- Hettie
- Annie
- NOT Catherine who married James Hart
If I've got the dates right, then the "Old Ned Sizemore" is NOT our Sizemore-29 (also called Old Ned), but of the next generation or even later.
