Rough translation:

To the pious memory of the awesome gentleman Peter Theviot, a pensioner, on May 31, 1927 suddenly but well prepared by a genuine Christian life and provided with the consolation of the church in the age of 72 years from this life is separated.

The deceased was born in Vilich-Rheindorf on 3 May 1855 and lived with Eva Eich in a happy and contented marriage since 28 November 1899, which God blessed with four children.

The daughter Elizabeth went to the Father forever. He showed his godly purpose by regular reception of the sacraments, by the faithfulness of his ministry in the St. Clemens Society. May the Lord, for his house here on earth, have a warm feeling, give him the eternal peace and serenity in the Father's house of heaven, where there is no more pain, nor lamentation, grief, or separation.

At his grave the wife mourns three children, Sister and Sisters-in-law; They recommend the soul of the dead man to the pious prayers and to St. Victim at the altar, so that soon Rest in eternal peace.

The funeral took place on Friday, 3 June, from the deceased's home Rheinaustraß 84; Then the burial office.
