Rina Matsuno was born Tokyo, Japan, on July 16, 1998. Her parents and origin are unknown.
While attending first grade, Rina entered the entertainment industry. She became an actress in 2006, with her first film debut in 2007. From 2009 to 2010, she was in a musical group.
In February 2010, Rina joined the idol group Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku. In May 2012, she made a debut on a record label. Her attendance number was 9 and her color was blue.
In 2013, Rina starred in a film with fellow idol Hirono Suzuki. She also worked as a model for Larme.
On February 7, 2017, Rina Matsuno was unable to perform at a concert for Shiritsu Ebisu Chugaku due to an illness. In the early morning hours the next day, her health suddenly worsened and her parents called emergency services. She was pronounced dead at the age of 18 at the hospital.
