Kyoshi Takahama (高浜虚子) was a Japanese poet and novelist. He primarily wrote haikus.
His real name was Kiyoshi Takahama (高浜 清). His father was Ikenouchi Masatada (池内政忠) , a former samurai and fencing master; Kiyoshi was the fifth son born to him. At age 9, he inherited his grandmother's home and took on the family name Takahama.
