"Thomas Forbush, b. Cambridge, Mar. 6, 1667; m. Dorcas Rice, b. January 29, 1664, daughter of Edward and Anna Rice of Sudbury and Marlborough, and granddaughter of Edmund, b. 1594, Barkhamstead, Hertfordshire England, and of Sudbury Mass. by 1639. Thomas Forbush was one of the original settlers of the section of Marlborough that was later set off as Westborough. He was one of the first selectmen of Westborough (1718) and moderator of the town meeting and the town treasurer in 1721. In 1724 he was appointed Deacon of the newly formed Westborough Church, and his wife was one of the original members. In 1729 he was one of three trustees to receive paper money for the colony and loan it to the citizens of Westborough in sums of L5 and L10 each. His will was made on July 17 1753 and allowed May 11, 1738.[3] It is filed at Worcester. There were five children." William H. Tuttle (see below)
