Biography

Marshall Irving Higgins son of William Higgins and Jerusha Dyer on July 3, 1854^[1] in Wellfleet, Barnstable, Massachuetts.^[2] At age 1, (1855) he was in his parent's home in Wellfleet, Barnstable Massachusetts, along with his sisters Mary-8, and Sarah-3.^[3] His father died when he was 13, and his mother when he was 15.

At age 19, He married Hope Doane Smith (1855-1929) on May 7, 1874 in Wellfleet, Barnstable, Massachusetts.^[4] They had 4 children.
