Isaac was likely in Farmington for a time, as an "Isack Boreman" was from there, and stood upon trial for freemen in May 9, 1667.[5] Isaac was a listed a freeman at Wethersfield in October 1669.[6]
"He was chosen surveyor, drew 52 ac. lot in I685; his father gave him the homestead W. side Rose Lane (now Main St.) next S. of James Wright's, I674; he drew lots in allotment of 1694; chosen fence viewer, l684; surveyor of highways, 1689; sealer of weights and measures, Selectman, Constable, etc.; cooper by trade."

With regards to his father's estate in 1673, Isaac was left, "besides what he hath received, £38".[8] Isaac's brothers John and Joseph died by Februray 1676/7, and Isaac received £21-16-6 of their estate.[9] Isaac's mother died August 3, 1684, and Isaac received a share of her estate.[10]
Isaac Bordman Sen. died May 12, 1719[11] aged 77.[4] His widow Abia died January 6, 1722/3.[4]
Isaac died intestate. An inventory of Isaac's estate was taken September 19, 1719 by Benjamin Churchill and William Burnham, and was valued at £14-18-4. Among other items, it contained "coopers tools".[11] He had already deeded his land to his children before his death. Administration of his estate was granted Abiah Boreman, his daughter, on November 3, 1719.<[12] His estate was distributed August 8, 1720, to his widow, Isaac Bordman Junior the eldest son, Samuell Bordman second son, Thomas Bordman third son, Sarah Frary, eldest daughter, Abiah Bordman second daughter, and Euince Williams, youngest daughter.[2]
