Ah, I noticed that myself, and suggest detaching this person from any parents.

Set up a Research Notes in the Biog box, naming each set and stating where any proofs are. That there are two sets may possibly perhaps indicate there has been a conflation of Capt. Jonathan at some point. All of which you have addressed in your own comment below. LOL

I do not suggest which set is THE parental set. I do know the steps include pinpointing the father (or mother) in time and space with deeds, a will, land sale or purchase, probate record, marital record, bapt of children and etc. In the southern states there would be slave sales and purchases sometimes.

The problem is to pin point each set of possible parents in time and space and if you are lucky you find one set located primarily in for instance Mass and the other set located primarily in what became Georgia ... something like that .

You can locate Capt Jonathan's assigned siblings if any in time and space and find out who their parents were work with that to determine if there's substative support for Capt Jonathan as their sibling

Notices in newpapers of sale of items belonging to an estate or notice of the demise of one or both parents. You'd need to subscribe I suppose to that collection?

Basically you need to approach Capt Jonathan's relationships sideways in order to isolate which set of parents is the correct one - or which set is most likely to be the correct one

Miller-1127 and Miller-1046 appear to represent the same person because: duplicate person

Thanks Susan. Which parents do you propose are the correct ones? The mother and father are both different for these records.

Miller-1127 and Miller-1046 are not ready to be merged because: Conflicting mothers and fathers need to be resolved before the merge can be completed - suspect there are two people represented here which have been conflated.

Birthdate for this record is different than the birthdate in the biography. Birthdate in the biography is too close to a sibling, so siblings between these two Jonathan Miller entries may also be mixed up.
