Anna Stright was born in 1787 in Washington County, Pennsylvania, daughter of Lawrence Leonard Stright (1751–1812) and Margaret Roy (~1757–~1817).

Anna (17) married Amzi Axtell (20) son of Daniel Axtell and Ruth (Tuttle) Axtell; in 1805. Their children were:

1. Catherine Axtell (1806–1851)
2. Thomas Axtell (1826–1873) [uncertain].

Anna died in 1827 in Ohio, United States, aged 39.

Research Notes

I adopted this part of the family. It has different information then I have. I will try to find the source and correct what I can.

The 1945 Axtell book gives: 6-95 Amzi (Daniel 5-40) b. March 23, 1784, in Washington Co., Pa. In the year 1802 he was listed as a "taxable" in Mercer Co., Pa. About 1805 he married (1) Anna Stright, daughter of Laurence Stright, and married (2) Elizabeth Cratty.

He was in the War of 1812. In 1840 he moved to Athens Co.,Ohio. He died Nov. 27, 1867. Children listed but it doesn't tell which mother and it doesn't give any dates for his wifes.

Possible place of death is Mercer County, Ohio.
