Biography

Mary married Henry Younkin, the son of Frederick G. Younkin and Catherine Patton, in 1826 in Somerset County, Pennsylvania. They lived in Turkeyfoot Township for most of their married life, having a total of twelve children:

Sometime before 1860, Moses and his wife and children, Catherine and her husband, and Alfred went out to Kansas; Henry and Mary, and most of the rest of the family went to Kansas not long thereafter, until all the children except for Harrison and, perhaps, John were in Kansas for the 1880 Census, at which point Henry and Mary were living with Ross.

Henry died in 1880 , and Ross went back to Pennsylvania;; Mary stayed on in Kansas, living with her daughter Catherine until her death in 1903.
