In 1778, Daniel Dickinson, a/k/a Dickeson lived in the Saratoga Patent and signed the 1778 Petition to New York Governor George Clinton requesting military troops for the protection of the Saratoga and Cambridge Districts.

In 1779 Daniel Dickeson's farm was assessed at $200.00. (Spanish dollars)

In 1790, Daniel Dickeson's name appears on the U.S. Census Return for the Town of Stillwater, Albany (now Saratoga) County, NY.

According to Sylvester's History of Saratoga County, Daniel Dickeson was married to Mary Palmer, the daughter of George Palmer, a miller in the Saratoga Patent. Sylvester states that Daniel Dickeson was a tanner and farmer and that his house was close to the Hudson River. (p 296)
