Biography

Jonathan Hubbard born on 20 Nov 1720 at Glastonbury CT son of Ephraim Hubbard and Mary (Miller) Hubbard of Glastonbury CT (Jacobus) . He died at Glastonburn CT on 1 Aug 1806 His ( 2nd ) wife was Sarah Smith Forbes born on bp 30 Oct 1726 at East Hartford CT, she died at Glastonbury CT on 23 Nov 1781 they were married on 15 Jan 1753 ^[1]

Possible first wife was Mercy Leete. It is possible there were multiple Jonathan Hubbards that have been comingled in records over time.

Named in his father's will^[2]

"His ancestors were: 1st, George Hubbard and his wife Mary, who came from Glastonbury, England, about 1635 or '36, and settled at Wethersfield, afterward removed to Mitford, Conn. ; 2d, John Hubbard, lived in Wethersfield many years, afterward removed to Hadley, Mass.; 3d, John, owned the Glastonbury property in 1684; 4th, Ephraim; 5th, Jonathan, who married Sarah Forbes; he died Jan. 6, 1786; 6th, David, born Sept. 2, 1758; married Jemima Chamberlain, and died March 11, 1806."^[3]
