James was a Friend (Quaker)
James Backhouse was born in County Durham, England.
James Backhouse was born on 29th day of the 6th month, 1757 in Darlington, County Durham, England, son of James Backhouse (1721–1798) and Jane Hedley (1718– ). [1]
James married Mary Dearman (born about 1760 in Thorne, Yorks). Their son was James Backhouse (1794–1869).
James died on 18th day of the 12th month 1804, aged 47. He was the son of James and Jane Backhouse. [2]
