Freegift TIlden was born in 1604 [it is believed his parent's are Thomas and Alice (Bourne) Tilden. I have not found any primary proof that Freegift's Mother is Alice Bourne. Alice Bourne had a brother named Freegift.] Freguist Tylden, child of Thomas, was baptised on 29 May 1604 in Tenterden, St Mildred, Kent, England.[1]

" RELATIONSHIPS: It is believed by John G. Hunt in English Origins that Freegift Tilden was a nephew to Freegift Bourne who prob. was his mother's brother, that they were the children of Thomas Bourne of Boughton Montchelsa, Kent, England. This connection is supported by the will of Thomas Bourne, dated 6 May 1608 and proved 6 June following and the document is now preserved by the County Archivist, County Hall, Maidstone, Kent, England in which both are mentioned as children of Thomas, probably by his first, unknown wife. (His second wife was Margaret Payne.) Because it was not determined for sure, the sex was chosen by the computer as male. ! REFERENCES: English Origins of New England Families, I:154.
