Robert le Grosvenor was appointed sheriff of the county of Chester twice, firstly "during pleasure" on 1 January, 12 Richard II [1389] and this term ended in 13 Richard II [22 June 1389-21 June 1390]; his second term as sheriff of the county of Chester commenced on 31 October, 18 Richard II [1395] and ended in 19 Richard II [22 June 1395-21 June 1396].[2]
