Teta is a figure out of the Czech founding legends. She is first named in the 12th century Chronica Boemorum by Cosmas Pragensis[1] as the second daughter of Krok, the second legendary ruler of Bohemia. She had 2 sisters, Kazi and Libuše.

According to Cosmas she introduced a religious doctrine and introduced a cultic order. Even as late as in the 12th century, the inhabitants of the country worshiped springs and fires, groves, trees and stones, offering sacrifices on mountains and hills and implored "deaf and dumb idols that they made themselves" for protection of themselves and their homes.[1]
